Speak. We Listen.

Press inquiries, playtest applications, partnership pitches, and the occasional tavern poem — all of it reaches us. We answer most messages within a fortnight.

Use the form if you'd rather not chase email threads. We route every message by hand — there is no automated triage, no auto-reply.

A real human reads every entry, usually with coffee and one cat present.
If your message is time-sensitive (press deadline, embargo), mark it in the subject line.
We are unable to respond to bug reports yet — playtest builds aren't out. Soon.

The Warden's Table

Asked at the Tavern

Twelve questions we get most. If yours isn't here, the form above takes any wager.
The Game

What is Dicebound?

+
A turn-based, party-of-three dungeon crawler for Android. Tactical combat in the spirit of For the King, atmosphere in the spirit of Darkest Dungeon, and dice mechanics straight from the tabletop you grew up with.

How does combat actually work?

+
Initiative is rolled at the start of every encounter. On your turn, you choose an action — strike, cast, defend, or push. Hits resolve as 1d20 + bonus vs. AC or MR. Damage rolls follow the weapon or spell. Mods stack from class, gear, and any curses currently riding your soul.

Is there permadeath?

+
When a hero falls, you make The Last Roll — a single d20 against a difficulty set by the floor's depth, your wounds, and the witnesses. Rise, and you carry a new affliction. Fail, and the hero is buried in the chapel. Their stat block remains in the ledger.

Will my dice rolls be visible?

+
Every die. Every modifier. Every reroll. We show the math because the math is the game. We are not afraid of numbers.
Platforms & Pricing

What platforms is it launching on?

+
Android first, designed mobile-up. We intend to bring it to desktop later, but mobile is the home base.

Is the game free?

+
No energy timers, no loot boxes, no dice you can buy. The dungeon takes enough already.

When does it launch?

+
2026. We are currently in pre-announcement — closed playtests will run in waves through the year. Join the raven list on the homepage to be invited.

Will it be on Steam / consoles?

+
After mobile lands. We're a one-person studio; we ship one platform at a time, deliberately. Consoles are likely. Switch is the most-asked.
Playtests & Press

How do I get into the playtest?

+
Join the raven list (homepage) or the Discord. Waves go out roughly monthly starting Q2 2026, with priority for newsletter members.

Can I cover the game on stream / video?

+
Yes — once we open press access, all monetised coverage is welcome. Be loud. Be generous with the dice rolls. Email wardens@dicebound.studio for embargo'd builds.
Studio

Who makes Dicebound?

+
A studio of one.

Are you hiring?

+
Not full-time, no. We do bring on contract artists, sound designers, and writers each season — open calls go out via the newsletter. Drop us a portfolio and we'll keep it on file.
“We make the kind of game we want to be ambushed by. Slow, mean, and fair to the dice.”— The studio
